The Vienna Declaration on principles to implement the objectives of the CNS has been unanimously adopted by the representatives of the Contracting Parties to the CNS gathered at the Diplomatic Conference.
Making efforts to modernize the nuclear regulatory authority, building professional competence of PAA’s employees and developing the actions related to communication with the public – these were some of the topics discussed between the President of the PAA, Mr. Janusz Włodarski and Mr. Denis Flory, high representative of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
On 20 October the President of the National Atomic Energy Agency, Mr. Janusz Włodarski met with Mr. William Ostendorff, the Commissioner of the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission. The discussions led to the expansion of the cooperation between PAA and NRC. The parties agreed on prolonging three bilateral agreements as well as on developing the on- the –job training program for PAA’s nuclear safety inspectors in the US regulatory body.
Third International Nuclear Energy Congress INEC 2014 organized by the Warsaw University of Technology ended yesterday. At the Congress the PAA presented current preparations of nuclear regulatory authority for the implementation of the Polish Nuclear Power Program.
