According to the information obtained on 3 March 2014 from Ukrainian Nuclear Regulatory Body (SNRC), the physical protection of nuclear facilities in Ukraine, including 15 power reactors which are being operated at present in nuclear power plants (Rivne, Khmelnytsky South Ukraine and Zaporizhzhia) has been enhanced since November last year as the social tensions and political conflict were growing, and is still maintained on the increased level.
The meeting was held on 18 February 2014 at the PAA headquarters. The Canadian regulatory body was represented by Mr. Ramzi Jammal, Executive Vice-President and Chief Regulatory Officer at the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) and Greg Rzentkowski, Director General of Power Reactor Regulation at the CNSC.

The other participants of the conference included: Ms. Hanna Trojanowska, Government's Commissioner for Nuclear Power and Mr. Andrzej Cholerzyński, Director of Radioactive Waste Management Plant.
